The Miller Family
Jamie Miller and her husband Matthew Miller didn't set out to write music for children. One day in the minivan on their way to church the kids were getting a little crazy in the back and Jamie, in a moment of creativity, suggested that they use some of that restless energy to “write a song or something”… Immediately the attitudes in the van changed and the song just started flowing, and once the song got going, Jamie couldn't put it down. They ended up finishing a song about David and Goliath called, "The Battle Belongs to Our God" but had no idea exactly how fitting it would be in the coming months.
Fast forward - Matthew and a couple of their daughters were planning on attending their church's youth camp. Matthew was assigned a music class… He brought their new song to camp and it was a big hit with the campers and staff! It was only after this experience that it became clear how God's hand had been in it from the beginning.
A year later, Jamie and family prepared another song (“In the Armor”) to go along with the camp theme, just in time to take to camp!
